HER TRUE SELF

One normal day at work Alicia began to feel ill, so she said to her boss to let her to take a break. She went out to the street to go for a walk to the park. Once there, she sat on a bench to read a book that her partner Mark left her, among the pages she found a sheet of a newspaper from 6 months ago, just the day she arrived to that city. The news said that a strange light was seen in the sky, Alicia, surprised, closed the book and returned home. On the way she saw that strange light in the sky that the newspaper was talking about, she kept thinking about it until she got home. She found Carmen sitting on the sofa. She was waiting for her to tell her that she had a job interview and would be back after lunch. Once alone, Alicia took off her costume showing a grey, sticky and scaly body. Her phone began to vibrate. It was the call that she was waiting for, a sharp voice said: - The time has come, we are landing. The Earth will be destroyed.
